Job Description
We are seeking a senior, hands-on Technical Delivery Lead to drive large-scale fintech and banking platform programs under aggressive timelines. This is a lead-from-the-front role, responsible not only for delivery governance but also for deep technical oversight across architecture, engineering, testing, release management, and production stability.
You will work directly with C-level and VP-level client stakeholders, translate business goals into executable engineering plans, and ensure delivery across distributed teams meets enterprise standards for reliability, security, and performance.
This is not a PMO or reporting-only role. You are expected to understand systems deeply, challenge designs, drive technical decisions, and own outcomes.
End-to-End Delivery Leadership
- Own delivery across multiple engineering squads for fintech/banking platforms.
- Drive execution across architecture, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Manage delivery under tight regulatory, security, and performance constraints.
Stability & Production Excellence
- Lead stability reviews and post-incident deep dives across:
- Architecture
- Code quality
- CI/CD pipelines
- Testing strategy
- Infrastructure and networking
- Monitoring and observability
- Data pipelines and integrations
- Partner with SRE, DevOps, and engineering leads to drive continuous reliability improvements.
Technical Oversight
- Review and influence:
- System architecture and integration patterns
- API strategies
- Event-driven systems and batch processing flows
- Data architecture and reconciliation strategies
- Ensure engineering decisions align with scalability, security, and compliance needs.
Client & Executive Engagement
- Act as the primary delivery interface with senior client stakeholders.
- Run executive reviews, roadmap discussions, and escalation management.
- Translate business priorities into technical delivery plans and milestones.
Consulting & Program Execution
- Lead large fintech programs in consulting environments.
- Navigate shifting priorities, scope changes, and regulatory pressures.
- Maintain delivery velocity while protecting engineering quality.
Decks, Documentation & Communication (Critical Requirement)
- Own creation of high-quality client-facing decks and technical documents, including:
- Architecture overviews
- Delivery plans and timelines
- Risk and mitigation strategies
- Incident and stability reports
- Convert client discussions into structured deliverables and execution plans.
- Strong technical writing skills are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology delivery, with at least 8–10 years leading enterprise programs.
- Strong background in fintech, banking, capital markets, or trading platforms.
- Prior experience in engineering consulting environments is required.
- Proven track record in managing programs with tight regulatory and client deadlines.
Technical Depth
- Strong understanding of:
- Distributed systems and microservices
- APIs and event-driven architectures
- Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- CI/CD pipelines and release management
- Data pipelines, batch processing, and reconciliation flows
- Monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Able to challenge architects and engineers on design and implementation.
Business & Leadership Skills
- MBA or equivalent business leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable owning escalations and defending technical delivery decisions.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
Presentation & Documentation (Must-Have)
- Exceptional Google Slides / PowerPoint skills — not optional.
- Proven ability to:
- Gather requirements from clients
- Translate them into structured technical and delivery artifacts
- Present complex topics clearly to executive audiences
